Le trio MUNA débarque à Bruxelles cet automne pour son premier concert en salle chez nous, à La Madeleine le 23 novembre, dans le cadre de sa nouvelle tournée internationale Gets So Hot Tour. Le groupe y présentera “Dancing On The Wall”, son nouvel album en live ainsi que les tubes issus de ses trois premiers albums.
Formé à Los Angeles en 2013 sur les bancs de l’université de Californie du Sud, par Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin et Naomi McPherson, MUNA propose une électro pop puissante et ambitieuse. Après un EP remarqué en 2014, le groupe signe chez RCA et sort un premier album intitulé ‘About U’ en 2017, qui sera suivi en 2019 par ‘Saves the World’. Deux disques qui posent les bases de leur identité : une écriture frontale, pleine d’émotions qui accorde une attention particulière aux thèmes de l’identité, du désir et des relations humaines. En 2020, après leur départ du label, le groupe entame un nouveau chapitre de sa jeune carrière en rejoignant Saddest Factory Records fondé par Phoebe Bridgers. Cette transition marque un tournant majeur pour les filles avec la sortie, en 2022, d’un album éponyme, largement salué par la critique et porté par le succès du single “Silk Chiffon”. Depuis, le trio a enchaîné les tournées internationales et partagé la scène avec des artistes comme Taylor Swift, Harry Styles ou encore Lorde, affirmant sa réputation de véritable groupe de scène.
En 2026, MUNA ouvre un nouveau cycle avec ‘Dancing On The Wall’, un quatrième album qui continue leur évolution artistique. Influencé par la dance, le post-punk, la synth-pop et la new wave, le disque propose une pop plus intense et contrastée, à la fois frontale et nuancée. Pensé comme une réponse à un monde instable et à une vie contemporaine sous pression, le disque explore les liens entre intimité et contexte social, entre énergie collective et questionnements personnels.
