RAZORLIGHT AT LA MADELEINE ON NOVEMBER 1, 2026
BRITISH GROUP CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY IN BRUSSELS
“America,” “In The Morning,” “Before I Fall To Pieces”: these are just a few of the tracks that made a lasting impression upon their release, all from the band’s self-titled album, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. To celebrate this milestone in style, Razorlight is embarking on an international tour with a stop in Belgium on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at La Madeleine. Razorlight in concert in Brussels marks the return of one of the leading bands of the British indie rock revival of the 2000s.
RAZORLIGHT IN A NUTSHELL!
Razorlight emerged as a leading force in the indie rock revival of the early 2000s, driven by an energetic sound with post-punk influences. Following the success of their debut album *Up All Night* (2004), which peaked at No. 3 on the UK charts, the band reached No. 1 with *Razorlight* (2006) and the hit single “America.” Subsequent singles continued to receive heavy airplay on British radio and throughout the rest of Europe throughout 2006 and 2007.
That was just the beginning of a career marked by success: three albums in the Top 5, nine platinum certifications, an NME Award, and memorable performances at the Reading Festival and Live 8. Led by singer and guitarist Johnny Borrell, an iconic figure on London’s Camden scene, the band rose to become one of the leading acts in British indie rock.
PLANET NOWHERE: THE REUNION OF A CULT BAND
After a hiatus of more than a decade, the original lineup—Johnny Borrell (vocals/guitar), Björn Ågren (guitar), Carl Dalemo (bass), and Andy Burrows (drums)—reunited in 2021. The comeback came to fruition in 2024 with the release of *Planet Nowhere*, their first album together since 2008, recorded in Spain at Space Mountain Studio under the guidance of producer Youth (known for his work with The Verve).
Since their reunion, Razorlight has been playing a string of sold-out shows, including a standout performance at London’s Eventim Apollo, and has shared the stage with Muse and the Kaiser Chiefs. In better form than ever, the band is now ready to breathe new life into the indie rock scene and immerse its fans once again in the energy of the 2000s.
